In the calculator
Nobs is the hand Jack matching the starter’s suit. The calculator can include that one-point item in either Hand or Crib show mode.
Outside the calculation
A Jack turned as starter has a separate dealer award called heels. It is not added to the displayed show total. The scorebook can record a confirmed award separately in the actual order it occurs.
A useful check
Use the twenty-eight preset with a starter Jack. The show remains twenty-eight; the tool does not quietly turn it into thirty. Read the complete rules for the actual timing and end of game.
